Please be aware that Eric Tan passed away from a brain aneurysm on January 5th, 2025. This was shocking, surprising and very sad. He was a very good friend and mentor to many of us. His broad smile and humour made everyone feel immediately warm and welcome in his presence.
We provide instruments and accessories to the orchestral strings community in Edmonton and surrounding area. Whether you need a new instrument, a rental, repairs, or even a rebuild of a beloved heirloom instrument, Tan Violins can help you. From beginners to professionals, from tonal quality trouble shooting and adjustments to total rebuilds, we are here so you can begin, or keep making beautiful music.
We have a long history in Edmonton, building on the legacy of P.J. Tan, founder of PJ Tan Violins over 30 years ago. With such a legacy, we know what you need and have it in stock, or have ready access so we can get it for you. We sell a wide variety of instruments, strings, pegs, shoulder rests, chin rests, and all the rest! We also offer rentals, and we have a great selection of entry level, middle level, and some fine instruments for sale.
